From 2020worldpeace

This is the first page in the education wiki.

The solution for education is essentially a social one. In order to implement social inclusion, we have to have a sensitive and sustainable environment in our classes; sensitive to the development of children into adults in a complex and harsh adult world, and sustainable to enable students to pass on their developing skills to their younger counterparts.

The central mechanism for generating a socially cohesive society, is to create a socially cohesive classroom. The process of generating this, is the same process that generates self-discipline. Teachers can no longer implement a learner-centred curriculum using traditional authority-led disciplining; in order to achieve internationally competitive results, we must assist our teachers.

We must implement the most recent learning technologies, informed by current advances in pedogigical theory, to produce the next generation of confident, life-long learners. The pages arranged on this wiki are by no means definitive nor exhaustive, rather they represent a provisional attempt to coagulate thoughts to create a system of mutually supportive concepts. Each item is not in itself that surprising or new and thus can not constitute any radical change to the mainstream educational system. In combination, however, they provide a holistic solution for the next generation of adults which will inherit an even more complex world. The solution is essentially socially-focussed.

Please return to this image while reading entries since it shows the meshwork of concepts centralised within each child and radiating outwards in three concentric circles producing the following areas:

Some of the concepts are essential while others are merely exemplary; what matters is the cohesion of concepts to produce socially responsible, respectful, and confident young adults.
