A crazy idea.
My flatmate recently challenged me to produce a single date in history which demonstrated humanity's noble character. I recited a few events, Martin Luther King, Ghandi, Jesus, Buddha, the ancient Egyptians... of course knowing that he would not accept any one of them. And then, I said, if you take all of the entire temporal existence of humanity, both past and future, there must be a point in time when we distinguish ourselves as a race, when we celebrate our humanity together, when we actually become one family once more. And if it hasn't happened so far, well, it is bound to happen sometime in the future.
The next natural question then is: When?
