Cinema was pretty weird when it started out. People ran out of the cinema thinking a train was going to run them over. But most of us accept the conventions, sitting in the dark, laughing and crying at appropriate moments; few stand up and argue, say. We accept the conventions of social appropriacy in the cinema, at restaurants, bars, cafes, theatre, galleries. We know what to expect when we go to these places.
Now, what happens if someone invited you to take part in an experiencial night? Bring £10 and an open mind; if you don't feel like it on the day, don't come. And what, what are you going to do that night? And your host has no idea. Still, they have invited a few interesting people like yourself, so it could be interesting. And that's what going experiencial is: inflorescence.
